Just another day at the dojo.
Ayun, it was a Saturday afternoon and buhay ang dugo ko nun. Ayos nga eh, nag advance techniques kami in grappling sa mats. Nakakagulat lang isipin na ang pag grab ng isang leg e isa nang paraan para ma dis-arm ang kalaban mo. Ginawa namin ang single leg grab, single leg grab going to a double grab, etc. Medyo mahirap gawin, pero pag once you get the hang out of it, kaya na. Medyo nahirapan din ako sa una, kasi yung ilang moves medyo komplikadong tignan on the eye of a beginner. Pero as they say, paulit ulit mo lang gawin, makukuha mo na.
That was a in the afternoon session; 1-3PM. After that, nag striking lessons din ako from 4-6PM. Nag sparring kami at the ring doing combinations of jabs, straights and roundhouses. Nakakahingal pala. Yung 3 minute round, potcha, pagang paga ka pagkatapos. Pero kinaya naman. As usual after the training, we did some exercises to make our heart rate faster, so I think, endurance purposes yun. Mountain climbing, push ups and jumping jacks.
